Preparation for war

Before the war started, many men were enlisted into the army. They were divided into battalions, companies, and squads. The men were put in training for a few months. First they went through basic training. Then they went through the more advanced training. Easy Company was an Airborne division. They were going to jump out of planes behind enemy lines. During basic training, Easy Company during basic training had Leutenent Sobel. Everybody hated this man. He made his men do everything longer and harder than the rest of the men training with them. He was a chickenshit. He abused his rank majorly. Everybody wanted to shoot him whenever possible. Some actually took shots at him at the range and shot his hat off.

The men had to get on a boat to cross the Atlantic to go to England for more preparation and briefing for war. They were staying within the town of Aldbourne with the English people. Before they came over, they had to be totally prepared for war. They went through many jumps and training. They knew what they were doing. But at Aldbourne, they went back to basic training. Easy Company was better at everything they did because of Sobel and his ways of doing everything longer than everybody else.

Easy company was briefed on their mission. They weren't really sure when they would do it, but they knew what they were doing. The training then got more strict and big-unit orientated. They were doing jumps in mass quantities. Preparing for the big day.
